DMCA Policy

Lost Game Archive ("the Platform") respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects our users to do the same. We comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and respond promptly to valid takedown notices.

Overview

Lost Game Archive is a community-driven catalog and coordination platform. We do not host, distribute, or stream copyrighted game content. Our platform contains:

• User-submitted game profiles with metadata (titles, release years, developers, descriptions)
• User-generated content such as reviews, guides, and forum posts
• The Vault: community-contributed resources including guides, mods, maps, and tools
• Nexus hubs: coordination spaces for organizing game sessions

If you believe any content on the Platform infringes your copyright, please follow the process below.

Filing a Takedown Notice

To submit a DMCA takedown notice, send a written communication to our designated agent (see below) that includes the following:

1. A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf
2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed
3. Identification of the material claimed to be infringing, including the URL or other specific location on the Platform
4. Your contact information: name, address, telephone number, and email address
5. A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
6. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notification is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf

Counter-Notification

If you believe your content was removed in error or that you have authorization to use the material, you may file a counter-notification containing:

1. Your physical or electronic signature
2. Identification of the material that was removed and its location before removal
3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you believe the material was removed by mistake or misidentification
4. Your name, address, and telephone number
5. A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court in your district and that you will accept service of process from the complaining party

Upon receiving a valid counter-notification, we will forward it to the original complaining party. If the complaining party does not file a court action within 10 business days, we may restore the removed content.

Repeat Infringers

We maintain a policy of terminating the accounts of users who are repeat copyright infringers. If a user receives multiple valid DMCA takedown notices, their account may be permanently suspended.

Good Faith

Please be aware that filing a false DMCA takedown notice may result in liability for damages under Section 512(f) of the DMCA. If you are unsure whether content on the Platform infringes your copyright, consider consulting an attorney before filing a notice.

DMCA notices and counter-notifications should be sent to our designated agent via our contact form. Please include "DMCA Notice" or "DMCA Counter-Notification" in the subject line.
