Player housing that actually matters. In SWG your house was part of the world. Other players could visit your shop, see your decorations. Modern instanced housing is so soulless.

Dwarf Fortress. Still going strong but the ASCII era of that game was peak experimental. A world simulation so deep that cats could die from alcohol poisoning by licking their paws after walking through spilled beer.

The music system was underrated. You could compose actual songs and play them on your plot. I had a concert venue that hosted weekly shows. Other players would actually show up and listen.
