City of Heroes, Atlas Park, November 30, 2012. Hundreds of heroes standing together. Someone was playing Taps over voice chat. I screenshot my character one last time. I still have that screenshot as my desktop background.

I do theatrical LARP. More story-focused, less combat. The emotional intensity of a well-run Nordic LARP is unlike anything in digital gaming. You cannot simulate genuine human connection.

City of Heroes. I had a Fire/Fire Blaster named Cinderfall who I played for over 3000 hours. When they shut the servers down I actually cried. Not ashamed to admit that.
