PlanetSide memories - share your best battle stories

Post by PhantomPilot »

Fellow Auraxians, let us share our greatest PlanetSide memories. I will start:\n\nThe Bridge Battle of Cyssor, 2004. NC held the north side, VS pushed from the south, TR dropped from galaxies onto both sides. Three-way chaos for six hours straight. My outfit held the tower with nothing but a few MAXes and sheer stubbornness. Best night of gaming in my life.

My first Galaxy drop. I had no idea what was happening. Someone yelled GO GO GO in voice chat and 20 of us poured out of the back into absolute chaos. I died in 3 seconds and immediately wanted to do it again.

The Great Lag Battle of Searhus. So many players in one hex that everyone was teleporting. We won that base capture with slideshow framerate and pure determination. The server nearly died but we did not.

Found a wall-walk spot in an Amp Station that let you get on top of the shield generator. Showed my whole outfit. We held that station for an entire alert using that spot. They patched it a week later. Worth it.

I spent an entire weekend mapping the underground caverns when they first opened. Found routes that let our outfit flank enemy positions from below. Exploration actually had tactical value.

Defending a base with 5 people against a 40-person assault. We held for 45 minutes using turrets, mines, and spite. When reinforcements finally arrived it was the most satisfying moment in any game ever.
